Our History
The University LifeCare Center (ULCC) was established in 1975 near the University of Minnesota Campus in Minneapolis. The ULCC is the founding center of what is now a system of pregnancy resource centers, the Total LifeCare Centers, Inc., consisting of 24 centers in the metro area as well as greater Minnesota and Wisconsin. Total LifeCare Centers, Inc. defines itself as a “non-profit organization dedicated to the philosophy that every individual has the right to adequate health care, covering all physical, emotional, and social needs, from conception to natural death.”
Due to our location by the U of M campus, we have helped over 10,000 women, men, and babies since our opening and have served clients from numerous ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Our current location in Dinkytown provides even more access to students and individuals associated with the U of M.
All of our services are, and always have been, offered free of charge.
